With Bluetooth 5.0, devices can use data transfer speeds of up to 2 Mbps, twice the Bluetooth 4.2 supports. The improved speed ensures the possibility of having better audio quality than its earlier version and also the stereo sound in speakers. What’s more, it can reduce the risks of disturbance and connection failure.
Power Requirement
One of the specification of Bluetooth 5.0 is low power consumption and more efficiency which allow you to keep your Bluetooth switched on for a longer period of time which means reduced power usage and improved battery life.
The Maximum Range
Bluetooth 5.0 has four times the range and can transfer eight times as much data than older version, for a maximum of around 800 feet (240 meters). With the latest Bluetooth version, device would be connect properly not only home but also the whole building, and office surrounding. It also enables Dual Audio feature which allows you to play audio on two connected devices at the same time.
Finally, a new version of the Bluetooth standard means several improvements, but only when applied to compatible peripherals. You would not see any immediate advantage with upgrading to device with Bluetooth 5.0 if all your Bluetooth accessories were adopted older version of Bluetooth. In other word, you will likely have a better wireless audio experience when you buy new Bluetooth 5.0-enabled peripherals.
